Joyce has worked in the accounting field for a variety of organizations since graduating from the University of Cincinnati. These include Banking, a Software Development Company, a General Contractor as the Controller, an Engineering Firm as the Accounting Manager overseeing the accounting staff and for the last nineteen years in Property/Asset Management. During her tenure with the Software Development Company, Joyce was instrumental in the due diligence and filings for the company’s IPO. In addition to accounting positions, Joyce was also in charge of Human Resources for three of the firms where she worked and wrote three employee handbooks as well as setting up procedures for various positions within the companies.
Joyce has been a mentor to junior accountants entering the work force from college and encouraging others to strive to reach their full potential to advance in their careers. Joyce has volunteered in several local programs as a mentor to young girls. This involved providing a positive role model, encouragement, and relationship skills.
Joyce has a classic 1967 camper, and whenever she feels the need to reconnect with nature, she hitches it to her truck and heads into the woods to meet up with her friends, who also have their own vintage campers.
